All KIPP School Ratings Fall To "Needs Improvement"

HELENA-WEST HELENA-Bad news just keeps coming on the academic front for the local quasi-private charter KIPP Schools.  All of the schools in the KIPP system fell to the "Needs Improvement" category in the state's classification system.

This news comes on the heels of KIPP's high school being placed on academic probation for "transcript irregularities," which included not teaching the required courses and after it was revealed that KIPPsters drop out of college at a rate higher than their peers in all of the public school districts in Phillips County.

KIPP's Elementary School is now in a lower classification than Eliza Miller Primary and is not ahead of any school in the Helena-West Helena School District.

This news continues to show that the quasi-private charter school is not providing an education better than that offered by the local public schools.
