Cougars Remain In Hunt for Post-Season after Friday's Win

With the 59-54 victory over Little Rock Christian this past Friday, the Helena-West Helena Central Cougars have reentered the state tournament conversation and are just one game out of fourth place, the cutoff for making the Class 5A State Tournament.

Here are the standings:

Jacksonville 7-0
LR McClellan 6-1
Pulaski Academy 4-2
LR Mills 3-3
Helena-West Helena 2-4
N. Pulaski 2-4
Sylvan Hills 2-5
LR Christian 0-7

The Cougars go on the road for a big game Tuesday at N. Pulaski with a chance to take sole possession of 5th place.  The game will be broadcast locally on KCLT 104.9 FM.  The Cougars will return home to face LR McClellan on Friday.
