ARKADELPHIA, Ark.- The Ouachita Tigers (5-0, 3-0 GAC) continued their tear through the 2012 season on Saturday, downing the visiting Southwestern Oklahoma Bulldogs (1-4, 0-3 GAC) by a score of 33-12. For the second straight week, Ouachita played without a true starting quarterback, but Ty Towers<http://www.obutigers.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=733> again proved to be a threat both through the air and on the ground.
The Tigers used a 21-0 score differential in the second half to seal the victory, with Towers recording 154 yards on 15 of 18 passes. He recorded three touchdowns through the air and added 60 yards on the ground in his efforts. Chris Rycraw<http://www.obutigers.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=723> recorded 149 yards and a touchdown on the ground for Ouachita, including a long run of 69 yards.
The Tiger defense didn't keep the Bulldogs off of the board, but they did their share of work in the second half. The Tiger defense forced two turnovers on downs, including a late goal line stand that kept Southwestern out of the end zone.
