Cougars To Hold Preseason Scrimmage Against LR McClellan on Tuesday, the 23rd

Helena-West Helena Central Coach Russell Smith will unveil a look at this year's Cougars in game-type action on Tuesday, August 23rd at 6 p. m.  against the Lions of LR McClellan.

Coach Smith said the team, which has about 35 going through preseason practices, has been working hard and is looking forward to getting a chance to be in game conditions.  He said, "We have been getting after it as often as we can.  The guys have been working hard, and I think that we are going to have a good season.  I hope that everyone will come out to the scrimmage and start getting excited about Cougar football.  I think we have a chance to win a lot of games."

The Cougars are slated to open the regular season on September 9 at home against the Marianna Trojans.
