HELENA-WEST HELENA ---- The Criminal Investigation Division of the Helena West Helena Police Department is investigating the death of a young man whose body was discovered at his home today. Marcus (LNU) (Last Name Unknown/Unpublished) was found dead today in the Midland Heights area of town. The home in which he was found is located in the area behind the Short Stop Conoco and across from the Hays Grocery Store. A neighbor went to check on him and discovered his body. After the discovery was made, authorities were notified.
The cause of death is currently under investigation. Police department is currently keeping the details close to their vests at this time. Our source would neither confirm nor deny that the man was the victim of a gunshot wound.
The Office of the Phillips County Coroner made the death pronouncement. Deputy Eugene Handley confirmed the death and the fact that the body is being sent to the State Medical Examiner for an autopsy and determination on the cause of death.
