HWHSD's Devin Morris Accepted at Arkansas Governor's School

Devin Morris, a junior at Helena-West Helena Central High School, has been accepted into the highly selective and widely regarded Arkansas Governor's School, an intensive summer-school program held every summer for Arkansas students on the campus of Hendrix College.

Morris, who is the daughter of Woodruff Elementary School Principal Synetra Morris and the granddaughter of HIPPY Director Loistyne Burrell was accepted in the area of Math.  She will spend four weeks on the Hendrix campus this summer and take a wide variety of classes that will broaden her exposure to a wide variety of topics.  Morris is a very active student at Central High School, participating in athletics and cheerleading.

The staff of the Inside Scoop wish to congratulate Morris on this very impressive accomplishment and are proud of her achievements as a student in the Helena-West Helena School District.
