Willis Vetoes Another Budget - Resolution 8 (The Larry Brown Budget)

According to a report from the local radio station, Mayor Arnell Willis has vetoed, yet again, a budget passed by the city council. Upon receipt of a copy of the document explaining his reasoning, we will share the same with you.

Here's what Willis says in his press release and veto:



We have learned that the Attorney General of the State of Arkansas has issued three legal opinions on manners of this nature involving Arkansas Law 14-55-401 and none of the opinions support the position being held out by Mayor Willis. The mayor is on shaky, even trembling, legal grounds here.
