Jasmine Davis Benefit Program a Successful Showing of Love

Members of the Helena West Helena Community threw their loving arms around young Ms. Jasmine Davis on Sunday night at the PLM&D District Center. There they held a benefit program featuring many local and surrounding area gospel groups, choirs and soloists.

Many people were in attendance and contributed to the love offering that was raised.

Ms. Jasmine Davis suffered a burn injury on September 21, 2010. She and her mother tell a touching story of how this came about and the impact it has had on their lives. You can listen to the interview, conducted by Elijah Mondy, Owner of KJIW FM 94.5; on the Inside Scoop Online podcast. Here is a direct link to the interview.

The event was billed as a "One Program You Don't Want to Miss!!!" and an opportunity to "Show Up And Show Some Love." Love Program to Benefit Jasmine Davis February 6th. Mary Ann Carter Watson, Mary Ann Hughes Goldsberry, Louis Trice and Lita Moore-Johnson, along with many others should be commended for the work they put into making this program a success.

Photos taken during the event show that it was well attended and people were really upbeat for the benefit of this child. The number in attendance is amplified by the fact that these people turned aside from their usual activities for this program which occurred on Superbowl Sunday when most Americans were watching the big football game.

You may contribute financially to this child's cause by contacting her mother, Ms. Lakesia Chandler, at (870)995-9559. Jasmine is scheduled to have a fourth surgery soon.
